In today's energy conscious society, one of the major problems faced by builders is the build up of high levels of condensation in the roof space.
Widespread use of central heating, double glazing and insulation can cause a temperature differential between living space and the cold air outside.
Warm air, carrying high levels of water vapour, is drawn by a process of convection to cold areas of the building including the roof void. If there is insufficient ventilation the water vapour condenses, leading to rotting timbers, the rusting of metal fixtures, felt damage and mould growth.
To solve this costly problem, Manthorpe manufactures a range of quality roof ventilation products which are suitable for new build and refurbishment situations.
Circular Soffit Vent
Manthorpe's Circular Soffit Vent can be slotted into the soffit board prior to installation for new build situations or just as easily retro-fitted into existing soffits.
Eaves Panel Vents
The Manthorpe Eaves Panel Vents are designed to maintain a flow of air to the roof space from outside, thereby allowing the escape of built-up moisture.
Eaves Comb Filler
The Eaves Comb Filler provides a physical barrier to stop birds and large insects from entering the void between the felt and tiles.
The product runs continuously along the top of the fascia board above the felt and is nailed into position with the fixing holes provided.

Slate Vent
Manthorpe Alpha Slate Vents are an unobtrusive, economical roof ventilator providing 10,000mm2 of air flow per unit.
Manufactured from UV stabilised durable polypropylene, Slate Vents have and integrated insect grill and spigot.
The Slate Vent, which has proven outstanding in independent performance tests, can be used for both high and low level roof ventilation.
Alternatively, it can be used as an outlet terminal for extraction fans and soil pipe ventilation when used in conjunction with a Manthorpe GRPA Flexible Pipe.
The product is designed to replace a single slate in a roofline, but an addition vent also comes in a large base format for use with random slating.
The Alpha Fast Fit Refurb Vents, without the original vent spigot mounting on the base, make retro-fitting into existing surrounding slates easier. It is simply slid between natural or man-made slates already in position with no need to cut battens, also available in a large base format.

GRP Valley Throughs & Flashing
Manthorpe's valley troughs and flashings offer a cost effective and durable alternative to more traditional roofing materials such as lead.
All the valleys and flashings in the Manthorpe range are pre-formed and are easily cut which significantly reduces fitting times for the contractor.
Weatherproofing and durability are two of the major design criteria and, as such, all valleys and flashings have a thick and durable UV resistant coating. This ensures a 30 year maintenance free life expectancy.
